Holy Hush
ayne sensed a “Holy Hush” had settled
over New England, especially our
corner of it – an expectant hush, on the eve of. . . . I wondered if it was like
that in the little town of Bethlehem on the night before the
Night of all nights. Did the townspeople go about their familiar
chores with a sense that something was about to happen? Caesar
Augustus had decreed a census. Everyone to return to their place of
birth to be counted, so people were on the move. The inns were full
– did one innkeeper hold his stable in reserve?
And so we wait. And pray. And learn to share silence with God
– in a holy hush.
We are also learning patience. This was easier five years
ago, or thirty, when the revival seemed not so near. Now that
we can almost taste it,
it is difficult to patiently abide. Especially when in one heart
after another, He is confirming our discernment. It is almost
time.
Do you
think it mere coincidence that I impressed both David and you to
select a meeting place with the ‘temple’ name? It is of great
significance. For I will use Tremont Temple as a sign of the
beginning of the preparation of a magnificent visitation of my
presence upon your region and beyond. Never forget Psalm 16, as it
sets the goal of the noon hour movement, that you are to minister in
my presence and my joy. These two gifts will draw the multitudes to
renew their faith in a living God.
– Alex, 9-6
There is an awakening happening
here; you have the tools in place to shout it to the world. Do
not be shy, for we will never pass this way again. This
awakening is every other awakening bundled into one. Take off
man-made blinders and look about you, for surely the fields are
white unto harvest. Have you not prayed unto the Lord of the
Harvest for harvesters to gather my fruit into my barns? All
things are ready. The windows of heaven are open, and the doors
of my barn are swinging wide. I am sending forth my harvesters
to the four corners of the earth to gather my crop. The hour is
late, the harvest is ready, be about your Father's
business.
– Wayne,
9-5
As you pass through, amidst the ordinary lives in the
concourse of society, many shall awaken to prayer. They shall feel
strangely drawn, unaware of what draws them at first. But they shall
come to pray here with you, asking for prayer. And their quest shall
be simple. Prepare for this request: “Does God answer prayer? Will
He answer my prayer?” And you shall answer “Yes!” providing abundant evidence
that I do.
– Shelli,
9-7
Joy is your watchword – for this hour, and for all the hours.
I would have you bring glad tidings of great joy. Now is the hour
